Splash of Colour

Hope you all had a good weekend. I had a very busy one!

I went to a local Holi celebration. For those new to South Asian culture, Holi, is an Indian festival with lots of colours.  There were an estimated 11, 000 people at this particular event and they were all covered in rich hues of pinks, reds, yellows and greens.  They represent the spring season and good over evil.

The idea is to smear the powders all over friends, family and even random strangers. It’s a fun time for young and old.

The whole rainbow of colours reminded me of the vibrant patters and designs in South Asian fashions that I love to wear.

Give you room new life with some of these spectacular looks.  Paint the walls or add accents like rugs and pillows.
