Hall of Mirrors

If you have ever been to the Palace of Versailles in France, you will know the most famous Hall of Mirrors.

Even though we waited in line for nearly three hours (only two people were working the ticket booth) and my husband was pleading for us to leave because he didn’t want to stand anymore, we stayed and eventually got in.

After going through the French Immersion program and learning all about the French Kings and their impact on Canada’s history, I was eager to see this royal place in person.

And man was it ever spectacular, despite the crowds.

Well this was my humble version of the Hall of Mirrors today at the local thrift shop.

All these lovely mirrors made me want to recreate something similar at home.

More on the sunburst mirror in an upcoming post.

I was also tempted to get these frames…

…to create magnetic or cork boards.

But I decided I had wayyyy too many projects at home already and decided to pass.
